The limited purpose visa is offered when we want to invite you into the country, but wish to place more specific restrictions on the terms of your visit.
The associated permit will expressly state the reason for your visit and the date by which you must leave New Zealand.
The limited purpose permit has other added restrictions. You will not be able to:
- apply for a different type of permit while you are here
- appeal at any time the conditions of your permit
- request the Minister of Immigration review your permit as a special case.
