Length of Course permits allow students to remain in New Zealand for the full length of their chosen course (up to a maximum of four years), regardless of the period for which the course fees have been paid.
This permit is available to students studying at education providers with which Immigration New Zealand has a Memorandum of Understanding, and where the education provider supports the issue of a length of course visa or permit.
Evidence of the education provider’s support must be provided before a visa or permit may be issued. Acceptable evidence may include written confirmation from the education provider in the offer of a place or in a separate letter.
