To beeligible to support an application for a residence class visa for the purpose of Partnership Category, a New Zealand citizen or holder of a residence class visa must:

• not have been supported as a partner themselves within the last five years
• not have previously supported more than one other partner under the Partnership Category
• not have successfully supported any other partner under the Partnership Category within the last five years
• not have been the reason someone else was granted New Zealand residence because of domestic violence, in the 7 years prior to the date the application is made
• meet the character requirement for partners supporting Partnership Category applications
