Potentially Prejudicial Information (PPI) is information discovered during the process of application that could harm the applicant’s case, based on policy or legal points. It is essential that in reaching a decision, the principles of fairness and natural justice be applied. PPI must therefore be presented to the applicant for response before it is used as the basis of a denied application.
