Working to residence:
To be acceptable, an offer of employment must include:
- the employer’s name, address and contact details
- your name and address
- a full job description and person specification, covering:
- the job title or designation
- the address of the place of employment
- the type of work, duties and responsibilities of the job
- details of the pay and conditions of employment, such as sick or holiday leave
- qualifications and experience requirements
- confirmation of whether or not registration in New Zealand is required
- the duration of the job
- how long the job offer is open for.
Essential Work:
All offers of employment must be genuine and sustainable. Unless specifically stated otherwise all offers of employment should contain the following information:
- name, address, telephone and/or fax number of the employer; and
- name and address of the person to whom the job is offered; and
- a full job description including:
- the job title or designation; and
- the address of the place of employment if different from that in paragraph (a) above; and
- the type of work, duties and responsibilities involved; and
- details of pay and conditions of employment; and
- any qualifications, experience or training required; and
- the duration of the job; and
- how long the job offer is open.
The offer must meet the requirements of New Zealand employment laws.
