English language requirements (partner and dependent children)
We require people to have a reasonable standard of English to ensure they have the best opportunity to settle readily into life in New Zealand. Any partner or dependent children aged over 16 years coming with you can show they meet the minimum standard of English or pre-purchase ESOL training.
